Despite the explicit mandate aimed to Muslims at any point in time-space, as a message that describes itself as definitive and universal, the traditional marginal position of the discussions of translation of the Quran in the bosom of the Islamic sciences, manifested both in the number of reflections and insistence on subsidiary matters of the question (the recitation of the Quran translated into the obligatory prayers); as well as the merely reserved, cautious or simply defensive character of opinions defended in these theoretical contributions, it remains notoriously be paradoxical.

However, since the mid of the last century, the situation described experiences as being in significant progress.

The liberation of most of the Islamic countries from the phase of colonialism, the growing presence of Muslim communities in the West and the necessity of carrying out the transmission of the message of the Quran as a universal message formed the basis of intense activity to the present day. Symptoms of this are:

• The large number of translations published, not only for the languages of the people of Muslim-majority (not Arabic-language), but languages of communities in non-Muslim majority, as well as translations made by Muslims to the main languages of the world.
• Academic works in the form of books, articles in indexed journals, dissertations, etc.
• Institutions: the Al-Azhar, King Fahd complex, etc.
• The growing number of academic events dedicated to the translation.

However, qualitative in that effort, commendable scan without a doubt, indicates two fundamental shortcomings:

• The first relates to the lack of a minimum of General traits that define a general theory of the translation of the Holy Quran, according to the Islamic perspective.

• The second, and subsequent, is the vast dispersion of the works and their lack of clear perspective on what is supposed to be the General principles of the Islamic conception, a result of a manifest lack of base theoretical in translation studies or translation studies in dealing with the study and critique of published translations.

Therefore, the International Research Network in the Translation of the Holy Quran, IRNTHQ, pretends to be a digital platform dedicated to the collection, disclosure and scientific inquiry in this matter. It intends to carry out this task from a well-defined theoretical starting point: different models and theoretical contributions that have emerged in the last three decades under the umbrella of the so-called studies of translation (Translation Studies), invoice communicative, discursive, pragmatic and textual.

Therefore, the objectives marked of the platform are as follows:

• Pick up the digitally scientific contributions in the field in the different languages, allowing researchers to have a comprehensive theoretical database that will facilitate their research in different languages.
• Serve as a nexus of union between the scientific community interested in the subject in order to carry out tasks of guidance, communication, and publication of works.
• Disseminate information on events and publications related to the topic.
• Events organization and implementation of a specialized magazine indexed on this item annually or semiannually.
• Provide consulting services for the preparation of translations of the Holy Qur’an
